These delicate dumplings are filled with juicy pork and broth, offering a delightful burst of flavor with each bite. The skillful preparation of these dumplings reflects the expertise of the chefs who have honed their craft to perfection. Another popular dish is the shanghai-style braised pork, slow-cooked to tender perfection and served with a sweet soy sauce that balances the richness of the pork with just the right amount of umami.

For those craving something lighter, the menu also offers a variety of vegetable dishes, such as stir-fried greens with garlic, offering a refreshing contrast to the richer, meat-heavy options. In addition to its savory offerings, Shanghai Wangwang also serves a selection of refreshing drinks, including traditional Chinese teas and fruit-based beverages that complement the richness of the dishes. The tea selection is especially noteworthy, with options like jasmine tea and oolong tea, both of which are perfect for cleansing the palate between courses.

  • One of the best Shanghai restaurants in City. A hidden treasure as it is inside the Club Sydney and not much known by general public. My wife and I discovered it by chance and keep returning since then.

  • My relations eat here often and say that it is always good, and for our visit recently, that was no exception. Good Chinese food, quite tasty but not heavy at all and all good value. Good drink selections from the club which it is part of. Friendly service and simple but comfortable setting. It is a bit hidden away to go into club and up the lift, but worth finding.

  • Wow. Talk about a hidden gem! This place is inside Club Sydney. The XLB and pan fried dumplings were incredible. Shanghai noodle with beef was a little oily, but very good. We also ordered the bbq pork bun. The filling wasn’t as sweet as most bao filling in the USA. I’d come back for more dumplings!

  • Underrated restaurant! The food was super nice even though the noodle was oily but it taste so good! Glad i visited and found this hidden gem~ Only issue was getting into the shop. Need to check ID just cause its in a club building and details keyed in...

  • Quiet atmosphere but delicious food. Same if not better then other places downstairs. Come here if you want to eat good food without the hustle and bustle of George St. Got the Xiao Long Bao, Salted Egg King Prawn, Pan fried dumplings and Egg Plant Soy sauce. Every dish was high quality, would come again .

  • The only entrance was through the lift which was quite inconvenient. The dining area was spacious though. The service was inconsistent. There was a middle aged waiter who was really helpful and friendly. On the contrary, the young one replied with " what else?" when I asked him if the water is self-service. The quality of the dishes was also inconsistent. I love the sprout dish but sometimes they make it too oily. Pan-fried buns were amazing. The most crispy skin I have tasted in pan-fried buns. The onion in the pancake and shredded pork dish was too raw. Reasonable price overall.
